The Wind River, part of the Peel Watershed, represents true Canadian wilderness. Float plane rides in and out from the river highlight its remoteness. The Wind is mostly a Class 1–2 river making it one of the more accessible northern rivers for all abilities. Travel begins through the Wernecke Mountains which provide ample hiking opportunities on our layover days. Grizzly, caribou and wolf are all possible sightings on this truly wild adventure.
