Six Day Guided Canoe Trip on Yukon River

Nature Tours of Yukon

An all-inclusive, worry-free canoe trip. You don't have to be an expert paddler to enjoy canoeing down the Yukon River.

Overview

During this Yukon River canoe trip we'll retrace part of the Klondike Gold Rush route of 1898. Reminders of Yukon's gold rush can be seen all along the Yukon River. We'll camp on the banks of the Yukon River in authentic northern wilderness and explore the gold rush relics on the way.

But more than history thrives along this river. Watch the shores for wolves, moose, and bears. Look at the sky for bald eagles, falcons, and hawks. Watch the waters, too. They're home to the iconic Canadian beaver, otters, muskrats, and Arctic grayling and salmon.

If you're looking for a river that has it all, you can't do better than the Yukon River. It's one of the longest in North America, the longest in the territory, and has the history of the Klondike Gold Rush. You don't have to be an expert paddler to enjoy a trip down the Yukon River.

On this canoe trip with our experienced guide you'll experience everything the Yukon River has to offer, from historic sites and wildlife sightings, to wilderness camping and delicious food cooked and served on the banks of the Yukon River. Join Nature Tours of Yukon on this Yukon River canoe trip and paddle through gold rush history.

NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT

Sarah, Chris, Carole and Shaheen

We wanted to send a note regarding our guide Derek. He was such a joy! We actually all really missed him when we had to say goodbye to him, I think it was harder on us than it was on him, haha. He was very informative, very kind, sweet, laid back and just overall a great person. We joked about how we wish we could adopt him into our family. In terms of our tour, the views of the Dempster Highway to the Arctic Circle were my favourite. The mountains, the landscape was just unreal. I've never seen anything like it. Eagle Plains and Dawson City were so INTERESTING to me! Unfortunately we didn't get to see the northern lights as it was very cloudy but I guess we'll just have to come back sometime. Thank you again all for all your help! All the best.

SIX OUT OF A POSSIBLE FIVE STARS

Hilde and Klaus with Tina

The holiday is over. What remains are beautiful memories. Our Tina was there for the first time in the winter – she too was so facinated. I think we've really infected her with the Canada Winter virus. The only downer: unfortunately we could not experience the finish of Allen Moore – at the time we were already over the Coast Mountain of BC. But Robert drove us the day before departure to Carmacks so we could experience Allen Moore's arrival at the checkpoint. That was really great; I filmed him on his ride over the frozen Yukon River. That was much more interesting than the arrival at the checkpoint. We would like to thank you very much. Nature Tours of Yukon is really a lucky draw in an ever-widening pot of sellers. In a possible rating of five stars, we give you six. In a nutshell, we will definitely recommend you. Greetings. Until we meet again.

ANTICIPATING THE NEXT TRIP ALREADY

Dr. Steve (Scotty, Vince and Logan)

I am back at work at the hospital and have more heart surgeries lined up than I can count. I look back on our recent experience and find solace. I am so appreciative of your work and service. I can't say enough great things about Robert, our guide ... please say hello for me.  I am looking towards next summer. Do you have other backpack trips the Bailey Clan can tackle? We would want Robert and our only request would be smiles all around. Please talk to Joost and see what might work. Thank you again.
