Log Cabin Romance in Remote Wilderness

Frances Lake Wilderness Lodge & Tours

Unique wilderness getaway offers relaxation and an authentic nature experience.

Overview

Are you dreaming of spending some time in a private log cabin in the remote wilderness of Canada's North, far away from civilization? Accessible only by water or air, our self-contained rental cabin offers relaxation, an authentic nature experience, and a true respite from traffic, computers, headlines and other stresses of modern-day life.

During your stay, you may go at your own pace and explore the surroundings by canoe and on foot. Observe the beavers patrolling the bay or the bald eagles soaring high up in the sky and maybe try catching your dinner from the lake. Or simply unwind, let go and relax with a good book.

Witness the fascinating light during bright mid-summer nights, marvel at the brilliant fall colours, or gaze completely flabbergasted at the first northern lights on clear September nights.

The rental cabin is located in open spruce and pine forest, close to the shore, with excellent views across sprawling Frances Lake in the direction of the setting sun. The only sign of civilization is the nearby lodge operation on the other side of the peninsula, out of sight and earshot, about 10 minutes away on foot. Thus, plenty of privacy is guaranteed, though guests can take comfort in the presence of other humans close by. The two-story cabin is suitable to accommodate up to five guests.
